Recent rainfall has brought timely relief after a warm, dry start to the season, improving crop conditions across much of the region. That said, moisture levels in the Cascades and upper Yakima Basin remain something to watch closely as producers look ahead to 2026.
Early rains help, but long-term success depends on sustained precipitation to rebuild soil moisture and support streamflows through winter. Current patterns create opportunity, not certainty.
