When looking at USDA’s July Dairy Outlook, World Outlook Board Chairman Mark Jekanowski noted. “They raised U.S. milk production forecast for both 2025 and 2026,” Jekanowski said.  “Half a billion pounds in 2025, and 900 million pounds in 2026.”

Jekanowski said that was based on increased higher cow inventories, add more milk per cow.  He added strength in cheese exports is behind month-over-month increases in total dairy exports, both this year and next.

Most Milk Prices Expected To Move Higher

Jekanowski added product prices, look to be mostly higher across the board, with the one exception being Class III, which had it’s price forecast lowered $0.15 in 2025 from June; yet showing a $0.50 increase month over month in the following year.  Rises are reflected in both years for the all-milk price, although year-over-year the all-milk price remains down $0.35 cwt.
