Nationally winter wheat conditions are raising concerns nationally – with USDA reporting more acres moving into the very poor to poor category.

However, the PNW is telling a different story right now:

Washington: 92% good to excellent
Idaho: 87% good to excellent
Oregon: 58% good to excellent

While we’re looking at a strong early season there are still risks. Weather, drought pressure, input costs, disease risk, and harvest timing can still affect performance before the crop is in the bin.
